Business Objects Architect / Universe Designer
The Business Objects Architect / Universe Designer will conduct Business Objects Universe design and development including requirements analyis, design, documentation, development, and testing of universes, dashboards, and reports. Additionally, the position will synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs.
Job Requirements:
- Advanced skills with Business Objects Universe design & development.
- 5 years professional working experience with Business Objects XI R2/X3.
- Experience with Universe Designer, Web Intelligence, Desktop Intelligence, CMC, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius, Business Objects Data Integrator, Business Objects Data Services, and Business Objects Data Federator.
- Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Business Intelligence Analyst - Senior Consultant
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will play a lead role across the full project lifecycle for BI projects, from analyzing reporting requirements to designing, developing, testing, deploying, training, and supporting users on reporting solutions that meet those requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning projects (e.g., setting goals, estimating effort, projecting schedule, etc.).
- Analyze, organize, and prioritize reporting requirements.
- Profile the data necessary to meet the reporting requirements, back to the data source.
- Design solutions to meet the reporting requirements.
- Design or assist in designing the data model necessary to meet the reporting requirements.
- Design or assist in the design of the mappings necessary to extract, transform, and load (ETL) the data into the data model necessary to meet the reporting requirements.
- Create training materials and conduct training on reporting solutions.
- Create documentation to establish requirements traceability and help the user community.
- Minimum of 2-4 years creating solutions to support complex information analysis.
- Proficiency with Business Objects (e.g., Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius, etc.).
- Proficiency with SQL.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with Financial subject matter (e.g., Accounting, Procurement, GL, Financial Metrics, etc.).
- Proficiency with migration (e.g., promotion from development to test to production).
- Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS, or other IT related field preferred.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Xcelsius Developer - Sr Consultant
Key Responsibilities:

- Responsibilities include Xcelsius dashboard requirements, design, document, develop and test front end dashboards and reports.
- Work in a team environment, to deliver solid client solutions.
- Must have advanced business objects skills, particularly Web Intelligence (WebI) report creation, a good understanding of query writing and streamlining of Xcelsius data feeds (Live Office and QAAWS), advanced Excel skills, good analytical skills and experience of complex scenarios.
- Synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs.
- Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope; develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope.
- Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs and strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results.
- Proven expertise (3 to 4 years) in utilizing multiple data sources to populate Xcelsius models including QAAWS, Live Office, Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence and SAP BW, BOBJ XI Webi & Designer.
- Minimum of 3 years consulting and/or industry experience is required.
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- SAP Certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience with SAP BI Query and SQL.
- Ability to work independently; lead small teams focused on specific work streams of larger projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
- Active Secret Clearance is preferred; Eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.
ETL Developer - Sr Consultant
The Senior ETL Developer will be responsible for the Business Objects Data Integrator ETL components of universe design, creation, and population. This person will interact heavily with both the Data Modeler and the Business Objects Report Developers. This individual must be able to apply system solutions to business problems and must have proven project life-cycle documentation skills; e.g., functional user requirements, technical requirements, testing documentation, and participate in the business reports design and development.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior ETL Developer will be responsible for the Business Objects Data Integrator ETL components of universe design, creation, and population. This person will interact heavily with both the Data Modeler and the Business Objects Report Developers. This individual must be able to apply system solutions to business problems and must have proven project life-cycle documentation skills; e.g., functional user requirements, technical requirements, testing documentation, and participate in the business reports design and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration and maintenance of the EDW production and development environments.
- Production source system analysis, logical and physical database design and implementation.
- Assist in the troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving of complex Business Object problems.
- Transform defined business requirements into data model, and EDW ETL process, and implement them rapidly and accurately.
- Development of processes, operating procedures and standards in support of ETL functionality.
- Participate in business reports development and maintenance.
- Cross-train other team members in technical specialties to ensure MIS team can support the EDW environments efficiently.
- Document, and conduct peer review and code walk-through of any ETL changes, and follow standard process for production implementation.
- Minimum of 3 years experience authoring ETL using Business Objects Data Integrator (BODI) OR 7 years of experience in ETL development with other ETL tools.
- Minimum of three years experience using ErWin (or similar tool) for database design/modeling.
- Proficiency with dimensional and relational modeling, esp. as applies to data marts and warehouses.
- Minimum of five years experience authoring SQL DDL and DML.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, self directed, accountable and a great team player.
- Experience authoring and tuning SQL.
- Experience participating in full software development lifecycle projects.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
